“The Intersectional Environmentalist: How to Dismantle Systems of Oppression to Protect People and Planet” explains accessibly why environmental and social justice are inseparably linked. The book is a very good introduction to the topic and uses examples and different perspectives to show how we can dismantle oppression to protect people and the planet.
A particularly interesting aspect of the book is that many effective climate change solutions already exist, often from indigenous communities who protect 80% of the world’s biodiversity, but are usually overlooked.
An important read for anyone working in the environmental field!
